A look at Alexis Bittar's Fall-Winter 2026 Accessories Collection at New York Fashion Week
Stepping into the eerily curated evidence room, the audience is blown away by Alexis Bittar's incredible sculptural jewelry, including the iconic collar from hankycode's Bittar shoot last year. It feels less like stepping into a fashion week presentation and more like stepping into an immersive world. The audience leaves the evidence room and is brought to the stage, which is set as a seedy motel room with a bed, a small table, a chair, and a television.
Welcome to Alexis Bittar's Fall-Winter 2026 Accessories Collection at New York Fashion Week. The performance is a live reenactment of Bittar's mockumentary series, 'The Sexecution of Amanda Gates.' Gates, played by Jazzelle (@uglyworldwide), is a murderer who is seeking revenge by hunting down and then seducing known violent male sex offenders, specifically men who have evaded prosecution.
As the show's press release said, "Bittar's experiential FW26 presentation is a commentary on our obsession with true crime and simultaneously discusses society's broken systems - spotlighting how powerful, high-profile, high-net-worth men are seemingly immune to retribution and justice."
Bittar has become known for boundary-pushing shows that highlight his skill as a designer and his ability to address important cultural inequalities through drama, fashion, and art. This show certainly continued the pattern. As the press release notes, "In an era defined by fleeting attention spans, Bittar once again proves that luxury can be both subversive and deeply cinematic."
