SHIPPING INCLUDED + FREE STICKER
'Lavender,' an LGBTQ+ history zine, focuses on conversion therapy. Given that the Supreme Court case Chiles v. Salazar should have a ruling early this year, we decided to document the history of conversion therapy and center the voices of survivors before that history is ignored or even rewritten.
What's inside this zine?
- A historical timeline of conversion therapy by Rebecca VanderKooi, the story was produced in partnership with Uncloseted Media, an investigative LGBTQ news publication
- '5, 6, 7, 8! God is Good! God is Straight!' An essay on the cult classic film 'But I'm A Cheerleader' by Elle Vivian
- 'The Hands that Tried to Unmake Me,' a poem about experiencing conversion therapy by Tim Powers-Reed
- A bonus sticker with all zine orders
